Get Ready for Fairtrade Fortnight

Fairtrade Fortnight takes place from 25 Feb - 9 March 2008, so now is the time to get thinking of how you can get involved.

Council will host a series of events throughout the Borough to show its commitment to Fairtrade. and there are lots of things you can do in your school, workplace or community.

Fairtrade guarantees a better deal for Third World Producers. In 2006, UK sales reached over £290m and global sales of Fairtrade reached £1.1bn!

You can do your bit by organising a coffee morning using Fairtrade produce which is available in larger supermarkets or why not ttry cooking a meal for your family using only Fairtrade products?

For more ideas, visit www.fairtrade.org.uk and see local press for plans on how Council will mark this very special date in the Fairtrade calendar!
